BLACKBOARDS AND BLESSINGS
There once was a young teacher who was asked to lead a class
on a subject he had never studied.
Earth and space—mountains, moons, stars.
He had no map, no experience, only a love for learning
and a roomful of bright eyes waiting.
So, on the first day, he stood before them and said the truth:
“I’ve never taken this journey before. But I’d like to walk it with you.”
And the students smiled,
not because he knew everything,
but because he didn’t pretend to.
Each day, they opened the book together,
chasing comets across pages, digging into the crust of the Earth,
naming clouds and tracing planetary orbits.
When he stumbled, they caught him.
When they questioned, he listened.
And when they were right, he said,
“Thank you. You’ve helped me see it clearer.”
In that little room, a miracle unfolded.
The students learned science—yes.
But they also learned something far more rare:
That the best kind of teacher is still learning,
and the best kind of learning feels like wonder shared.
Years later, when those students looked at the night sky,
they remembered a classroom where the stars weren’t just studied—
they were followed.
And a teacher who taught them that real education
is not the passing of facts,
but the passing of fire.
