from the journal of Brother Callum
It began with the rain.
It began, I suppose, with the idea that I should write a book.
It was not a planned hike. I had no map, no trail guide—only a quiet nudge from somewhere deep inside that told me: walk. Just walk.
Today, I walked further than usual.
This morning, I read again the old line:
“And Enoch walked with God, and he was not, for God took him.” It stirs something in me every time.
I don’t often hear of God actually talking to people these days — at least not on a regular basis. I mean, some folks claim that God has spoken to them, but of course… we can’t really know for sure, can we?
He was an older man—not elderly, but just on the far side of his middle years.
